Catholic Members of the Cuban People and Political Prisoners Await a Proclamation from the Pope Regarding the Violation of Human Rights Being Committed in Communist Cuba

There is a need to ask, and we should ask, of His Holiness the Pope LEO XIV, with all due respect on account of his investiture and his history, when the Vatican will publicly, critically, and strongly, refer to the continuing violations and abuses that the Communist Dictatorship is committing against Cuban Catholics, as well as the terrible and abusive situation of Cuban political prisoners, which includes hundreds of women and children.

The Cuban National Congress, assuming its commitment to be the voice for those that do not have voices, raises its voice to denounce and protest this, alerting and soliciting to such a high religious figure about the urgent necessity to make himself alive and present regarding this concern, and that the Church similarly condemns these crimes and abuses.
