The Uniqueness of Martí
Date Published

José Martí is justly known as the greatest of all Cubans and one of the most highest figures in the Americas and the world.
The Apostle of Independence, an eloquent orator, a great poet and one of the greatest journalists and chroniclers of all time.
It has been painted with romantic expression how he, almost suicidally, mounted on a white horse, boldly charged to face his death.
But Martí is still even more than this.
He is the first leader of a revolution for independence that, as the visionary he was, instead of creating a revolutionary committee or a junta of generals, founded and organized a democratic and republican political party as an ideal instrument and a perfect tool for the liberation of his people.

He is also the great strategist who designed the master plan, the road map, the ideological base that sustained the fight.
The tireless organizer that raises membership, unites volunteers, and coordinates the forces of the exiles along with those of the Island.
He is the apostle that calls for the great dream, the leader that unites those who are divided.
He that moves others to heroic deeds and gathers necessary funds.
The man that goes into Cuba and completes with his words.
Because of this, today, when his people are once again slaves and fighting, we found the CUBAN NATIONAL CONGRESS, a type of PARALLEL GOVERNMENT, in order to empower and speed up the common force of liberation and reconstruction, Martí is even more at force than ever.
Armed with his example, the brilliance of his strategic thinking, and the shield of his successful ideas, we will accomplish victory.
He gifted us with his thoughts, with which I finish this homage on the date of his birth: TO CUBA, FOR ALL THE DOWNTRODDEN.
THAT IS WHAT WE WILL DO.

We must reinvent Cuba into a New Cuba, democratic and republican, capitalist and Christian, as the majority of our people desire and dream of.
